Monica – Office Manager
Monica received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Kutztown University in May of 2003. Her uncle, who is a dentist, inspired her love of dentistry. She worked throughout college and years after at his practice in the front office before making the transition to post secondary education where she was able to work with various diploma and degree programs, one of which was dental assisting. Monica joined Bowser Dentistry in December 2021 as the office manager. She enjoys all aspects of a dental office and all the smiles that come with it.
Her hobbies include trying new restaurants, exercising, traveling and spending time with her husband, son and two dogs.
Nikki – Dental Hygienist
Nikki is born and raised in York County. She became interested in dentistry in high school while shadowing at her dentist’s office. She graduated from Allegany Community College in Maryland in 1991 with her Associates degree in Dental Hygiene. Nikki finds dentistry interesting because it allows her to establish a rapport with patients and build lasting relationships.
In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, playing golf with her husband Doug, or going to her children’s sporting events.
Alisha – Dental Hygienist
Alisha has worked in the dental field for 20 years. She first worked as a dental assistant and graduated from Penn College in 2000 as a dental hygienist. Alisha joined the Bowser team in 2016.
Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, horses and spending time outdoors with her husband and animals.
Beth – Dental Hygienist
Beth has been working in the dental field since 1978. She worked for 11 years as a dental assistant and in 1989 moved into dental hygiene. Beth has been a member of the Bowser Team since 1996.
She enjoys hiking, cooking and reading.
Morgan – Dental Hygienist
Morgan graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2017 with her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene as well as her Dental Hygienist Local Anesthesia license. Morgan joined Bowser Dentistry in 2021.
Her hobbies include running, spending time with her family and traveling.
Lauren – Dental Hygienist
Lauren graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Policy and Administration Concentration. Lauren was awarded the Patricia L. Saxton Excellence in Dental Hygiene Award for exhibiting dedication to the profession through personal growth, self development and support of others. One thing that Lauren enjoys most about her job is spending one-on-one time with her patients and educating them on their oral health.
Outside of dental hygiene, Lauren enjoys being active as health and fitness are important to her, but most of all spending quality time with her husband, son and daughter.
Nicole – Dental Hygienist
Nicole graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2018. After completing that program, she continued on to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene and her Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner Licensure. She enjoys taking the time to educate her patients on oral health care to assure they leave each appointment with more knowledge on how to maintain optimal healthy teeth and gums.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her three dogs and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
Heather – Dental Assistant
Heather graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College in 2008 with certification in Dental Assisting and Expanded Function Dental Assisting. Her interest in dentistry was generated by listening and watching her mother (our assistant Becky). Heather joined Bowser Dentistry in 2003.
Her hobbies include kayaking, golfing, baking, gardening, and spending time with her husband and 2 sons.
Becky – Dental Assistant
Becky has been a dental assistant at Bowser Dentistry since 1984. Working in dentistry has allowed her time to raise her family and now enjoy her grandchildren.
In her free time she enjoys decorating, cooking and working on her golf game.
Karen – Dental Assistant
Karen assisted in a dental office 2 years before graduating from York Vo-Tech’s dental assisting program in 1971. She started her career with Dr. Rizzo prior to Dr. Johnessee who joined the team shortly after her. Karen has worked her entire career from that point on with Dr. J and now with the Bowsers. This has given Karen 40+ years of experience assisting!
Outside of work, Karen spends her time with her son Shane, gardening, cooking, and exercising if she can.
Dodi – Dental Assistant
Dodi has been working in the dental field since 1990. She began her career as a dental assistant, and went on to earn her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certification in 2012. Throughout this time, she also worked in post secondary education instructing dental assisting students. She currently is a member of the York County School of Technology Dental Assisting Board.
During her time off, you can find her spending time outdoors with her family and her dog.
Melanie – Dental Assistant
Melanie has been working in the dental field for 28 years. She is Certified by the State of Pennsylvania in Radiology, is a member of the American Dental Assistant’s Association and the Pennsylvania Dental Assistant’s Association. In 2008 Melanie completed the Expanded Function Dental Assisting Program at Harrisburg Community College.
In her spare time, Melanie enjoys reading, cooking and trapshooting.
Jenna – Dental Assistant
Jenna recently graduated from Hagerstown Community College as a certified dental assistant. Since Jenna was little, her favorite place to go was the dentist so she always knew she wanted to work in the dental field helping others. Knowing she can make a difference in someone’s oral health and smile is very rewarding to her.
In Jenna’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family along with her new Cowboy Corgi puppy, Oakley and riding her horse, Stetson.
Sydney – Dental Assistant
Sydney earned her Dental Assisting Certification from York County School of Technology. During her time at York County School of Technology, she completed a dental assisting externship at Bowser Dentistry. In November of 2022, she was then hired on as a dental assistant. She enjoys building new relationships with patients daily.
Sydney’s hobbies include photography, outdoor activities and painting. She enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Willow.
Connie – Dental Assistant
Connie graduated in 1982 from York Vo-Tech’s Dental Assisting program. She has been working as an assistant/EFDA for 40 years.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren as well as traveling to different islands and beaches.
Alaina – Dental Assistant
Alaina graduated from York County School of Technology’s Dental Assisting program. She started as a dental assistant extern at Bowser Dentistry in 2021 and is now a full time dental assistant. She chose the field of dentistry due to her compassion for helping others and her interest in dental anatomy.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, four-wheeling and traveling.
Ally – Business Office Administrator
Ally graduated from YTI Career Institute in February 2009 with a Diploma in Dental Assisting and obtained her Radiology Certification through the State of Pennsylvania. She first joined the Bowser team during an externship through YTI at the end of 2008 and accepted a permanent position soon after she graduated. Ally has since moved into office administration but still uses her assisting skills on a regular basis.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking and snuggling her pets.
Tiffany – Business Office Administrator
Tiffany started working in the dental field as an assistant in 1995. She has a certificate in dental assisting from York County School of Technology and is Pennsylvania certified in Radiology. Her interest in dentistry started when she was a patient for a friend who was in dental hygiene school. In 2004 she joined the Bowser Team. Her knowledge of the clinical side of dentistry is a valuable asset in the administration office. In addition to her everyday administrative duties, Tiffany handles a large portion of patient check-in and scheduling.
Tiffany enjoys shopping, travelling and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Jorge, live in York with their children.
Ashley – Business Office Administrator
Ashley joined Bowser Dentistry in 2022 and has three years of dental office experience. A majority of the time, you will find Ashley at patient check out scheduling recare appointments and educating patients on their financial options for treatment plans.
Ashley is married with two children, Gavin and Cora.
Kasey – Business Office Administrator
Kasey’s passion for dental health began after overcoming her own experiences at the dentist as a little girl. She later enrolled into dental hygiene school but during college she realized she had a better connection with analytical administration work graduating with an Associate Degree in Healthcare Administration from HACC. Most of Kasey’s administrative experience comes from working in dental and medical facilities throughout the York area but prior to merging into the Bowser family; Kasey ran the accounting department for a locally owned business. Kasey works part-time; focusing mainly on patient check-out and helping new patients transfer their care to our office.
When she is not in the office, Kasey is taking care of her family at home. She resides in East Prospect with her one year old son, Theo and fiancé, Steve.
Liz – Business Office Administrator
Liz has worked in the dental field for over 10 years. She graduated from YTI Career Institute with a Diploma in Dental Assisting in 2010. She began her career as a dental assistant but has since moved into office administration. Liz joined the Bowser team in 2022.
Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, crafts and spending time outdoors with her family and animals.
Megan – Business Office Administrator
Megan moved to York County in July 2020 from Pittsburgh, PA. She began working in the dental field in August of 2020 and joined the Bowser team in March of 2021. Megan enjoys helping patients and seeing them happy with their smiles.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, baking, reading and shopping. She is a dog mom to Stella.
Belinda – Dental Assistant/OSHA-HIPAA Coordinator
Belinda has been working in the dental field since 1986. She earned her certificate in dental assisting in 1986 from the Lancaster County School of Technology and is certified by the State of Pennsylvania in Radiology. As Belinda’s enthusiasm grew for dentistry, she enrolled at Harrisburg Community College and completed the Expanded Functions Dental Assistant program in 2002. She is a member of the American Dental Assistant’s Association and the Pennsylvania Dental Assistants Association.
She and her husband, Shane, live in Red Lion with their daughter.
Lisa – Business Office Administrator
Lisa has lived in York all of her life and has worked in dentistry since 1985. She has an accounting degree from YBI and earned her Certified Dental Practice Management Associates degree in 2000. Her primary focus is patient accounts, insurance management and administrative responsibilities.
Lisa enjoys leisure time kayaking, cooking, gardening and reading. She and her husband Paul have 2 grown children and are parents to “Kali”, their German Shepherd.
